About this machine
The RD 300 carpentry planer is designed for levelling the surfaces of beams, rafters and purlins. It is suitable for workshop and site use on solid softwood and hardwood, including wet timber.
The operator sets the planing depth with a lever and reads the setting on the scale. The cutterhead sits between the two pieces of the planer sole. A soft-start motor drives the cutterhead by belt, and chips are ejected forwards.
The planer has an aluminium construction and comes with a fitted set of reversible steel planer knives with two cutting edges. HSS knife sets are available in standard and trimetal versions. Replacement sets can be ordered separately.
