About this machine
The Fimal PF 415 N is a hand-fed surface planer for solid wood. The operator first planes one face flat, then holds that face against the fence to straighten an edge.
The same lever adjusts and locks the infeed table. A graduated scale shows the depth of cut. The parallelogram linkage keeps the gap between the table lip and the cutterblock constant as the table moves. The anodised aluminium fence tilts and has stops at the reference angles. A magnetic knife-setting gauge is supplied with the machine.
The CE version includes an electromagnetic brake, a dust extraction hood and a bridge guard over the cutterblock. Options include automatic infeed table positioning, pneumatic fence locking, an auxiliary fence for narrow workpieces and a cutterblock with Tersa-type knives. A mortising attachment and a Wescott chuck are also available as separate options.
