Casadei Industria Kronos 60.0 automatic edge banding machine

The Casadei Industria Kronos 60.0 is an automatic edge banding machine for straight edges on chipboard, MDF, plywood and solid wood panels. It applies ABS, PVC, melamine or veneer edging supplied in coils or strips. The machine is designed for small and medium furniture production runs. A double steel chain with rubber pads feeds the panels, and an automatic spacing device sets the gap between successive panels at the infeed. The infeed fence allows fine adjustment of the pre-milling depth. Diamond cutters prepare the panel edge, and an air jet cleans it before gluing. The upper glue pot accepts either EVA or PUR adhesive. The glue roller has an automatic cleaning cycle. A pneumatic shear cuts the edging from the coil, and pressure rollers press it onto the panel edge. The TRIA unit combines end trimming, flush trimming and corner rounding. It can switch automatically between two edging thicknesses. The operator selects machining programs on the touchscreen. The upper pressure beam adjusts electronically to the panel thickness. An extendable front support carries larger workpieces. The machine has space for additional finishing units. Depending on the configuration, options include interchangeable glue pots and units for scraping, spraying or buffing.
