This used Homag automatic edge banding machine processes panels up to 60 mm thick with 0.4–3 mm edging and has pre-milling, corner rounding and a feed speed of 8–14 m/min.
Edge banding machines, also known as edgebanders, apply and finish ABS or other compatible edging materials on chipboard (particleboard) and MDF panels. Depending on the equipment fitted, these automatic machines can combine gluing, end trimming, edge trimming, scraping and buffing in a single pass. The processing units and their adjustment options determine the operations available and the resulting finish.
On machines fitted with a pre-milling unit, the panel edge is machined before gluing to remove saw marks. A corner rounding unit, where fitted, rounds off the edging at the panel corners. Compatibility with EVA or PUR adhesives depends on the gluing system fitted to each model.
Our range includes new and used edge banding machines with different configurations to suit production requirements. We select the configuration based on panel dimensions and thickness, edging material and thickness, and the required finish. We also consider daily production volume and how often operators switch between materials.
Delivery, installation, commissioning and operator training are agreed as part of each project, together with the terms of technical support after installation.
