HELEX HE 60 EL automatic edge banding machine

The HELEX HE 60 EL is an automatic edge banding machine for straight and L-shaped edging. It applies PVC edging to chipboard and MDF panels. Applications for L-shaped edging include T-type doors, double doors with unequal leaf widths, concealed doors and wall panels. Two counter-rotating cutters pre-mill the workpiece edge before bonding. The machine sprays a release agent and applies EVA hot-melt adhesive from a heated glue pot. A servo drive synchronises the edging feed with the workpiece feed. Servo-controlled pressure rollers and floating forming presses press the edging onto the workpiece edge. The machine trims the ends of the edging. The fine trimming and scraping units adapt to straight and L-shaped profiles. A cleaning agent is applied before buffing. The pressing, trimming and scraping units have mechanical impact protection. The working units use inverter-controlled drives or servo drives. The operator adjusts the height of the motorised upper pressure beam from the touchscreen to suit the workpiece thickness. On request, the gluing system can be adapted for pre-glued edging. This configuration does not include a corner rounding unit.
