Fimal TX 160 / C / L / CL / CF spindle moulder

The Fimal TX 160 is a spindle moulder for profiling solid wood. The TX 160 has a tilting spindle, while the T 160 has a non-tilting spindle. The C and CL versions have a side-mounted tenoning carriage, and the CF has a front-mounted carriage. The L and CL versions have a long table with a front extension. Spindle tilting is motorised, with an independent drive, and the set angle is shown on an electronic display. On the CF version, the spindle tilts less far in the negative direction than on the other versions. The operator adjusts spindle height electrically from the control panel and reads the position on a mechanical indicator. The lowest spindle speed is intended for sanding. A handle adjusts the sliding table section in front of the spindle, even with the cutter fitted, so the workpiece is supported close to the cutter. Levers lock the fence in place. A powered mechanism lifts and rotates the fence to move it clear of the table and return it to its working position. On the L and CL versions, the same handle moves and locks the front table extension. The CE version includes an electromagnetic brake, an emergency stop button and guards for work at the spindle and with the fence. Options include an electronic spindle height display, an interchangeable spindle with a No. 5 Morse taper and reversible spindle rotation.
