About this machine
The HELEX HE 1200 D6 is a six-sided CNC drilling machine for furniture production using chipboard and MDF panels. It drills both main faces and all four edges of the panel for furniture assembly fittings.
The wireless barcode scanner identifies the panel and calls the corresponding program. The panel clamps hold the panel and, together with the feed system, position it automatically on the steel worktable. The upper drilling unit drills the top face and edges, while the lower unit drills the bottom face. The upper routing spindle carries out grooving and other routing operations. After machining, the panel leaves the machine on the outfeed roller table.
The bed and the gantry form a heavy-duty structure. The axes are servo driven through planetary gearboxes, on ground helical racks and hardened linear guides. The lower drilling unit also has its own electrospindle. Both drilling units have dust extraction hoods with brush skirts. The industrial CNC control includes integrated CAM software and DXF, MPR and XML import via supported interfaces; integration into an automatic production line is specified for the project configuration. Lubrication is automatic and centralised.
