About this machine
The HELEX HE 1400 B is a semi-automatic flat lamination line that bonds film or rigid sheets to one face of a panel using a reactive PUR hot-melt adhesive. It handles PET, PVC, PP and aluminium films, as well as HPL, CPL and acrylic sheets. Substrates include particle board, MDF and plywood for applications such as furniture panels, wall decoration panels and door panels. Transparent PET film requires a dedicated adhesive grade.
At the infeed, an infrared oven preheats the panel. Brush belts, an air knife and an adhesive dust-removal roller clean the surface before adhesive application. A drum melter supplies the adhesive through heated hoses to a roller coating machine with oil-heated rollers. The operator adjusts the gap electrically to suit the panel thickness and sets the adhesive quantity manually.
The operator places rigid sheets on the feeding table by hand. For roll-fed film, a gantry crane loads the roll onto an air-expansion shaft, and infrared heaters preheat the film. The laminating unit applies pneumatic pressure between a silicone roller and a chrome-plated steel roller. A separate unit applies protective film at the outfeed. A touchscreen PLC controls the line, and a frequency converter provides stepless feed speed adjustment. The line direction is specified on request to suit the workshop layout. Panel formats and covering materials are confirmed using the customer’s samples.
